About This Course
The Intermediate Professional course will form the first half of the Postgraduate Certificate in Imaging Informatics at the University of Chichester. We plan to offer a structured programme across 16 weeks, the programme combines four week-long taught sessions delivered on campus with a further 12 weeks of supported self-directed study.
This will aim for the first half of the PGCert to be intentionally focused on depth and applied practice — equipping participants with detailed, working knowledge of imaging ecosystems, data governance frameworks, system navigation and clinical communication before progressing to the more developmental content of the advanced level.

Who Is This Course For?
This course is suited to radiology professionals, imaging informatics practitioners and healthcare IT staff seeking a rigorous, formally accredited programme of study. It is appropriate for those with some existing familiarity with NHS imaging environments who are ready to deepen that knowledge within a structured postgraduate framework. Completion of the 2 Day Intensive, or equivalent professional experience, is beneficial but not a formal prerequisite.
Where Does This Take You?
Successful completion of the Intermediate Professional course constitutes Part 1 of the Postgraduate Certificate in Imaging Informatics. Participants may progress directly to the Advanced Professional course to complete the full PGCert award.
